The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration upholds that one in nine traffic deaths that occurred in 2007 were caused by a crash involved a large truck.
Across the United States, in 2007 more than 410,000 large trucks were in crashes. Nearly 5,000 ended in death, and more than 100,000 injuries were reported.
